The band and chorus students at Allison Academy put on a live outdoor concert, attracting many parents, and even neighbors of the school, to come and enjoy.
Passionate about music
The show opened with Mrs. Horowitz’s chorus class, performing “Mean It” and “I Like Me Better” by Lauv, and “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi, and much more.
Each of the seniors in the chorus class performed a solo that best suited their artistic personality, with Donovann Wallace performing “Yellow” by Coldplay, Benton Jacques performing “Fashion Drunk” by Otis Stacks, and PJ singing “We’re Going to Be Friends” by Jack Johnson. Not to mention a beautiful mash up duet by Sonya Kornitsky and Donovann Wallace performing “Blank Space” and “Style” by Taylor Swift.
Following the performance by the chorus came the band, with Donovann Wallace as the lead singer, Peter Langer on guitar, Benjamin Freeman on piano, Horacio Rivera on bass, Ethan Phanord and Antonio Sokolovsky on drums, and Kamer Boutin on the bongos. They put on a diverse show, opening with a groovy “Jailhouse Rock by Elvis Presley”, followed by a mellifluous “Easy” by The Commodores, “We Will Rock You” and, “I Love Rock and Roll” by Queen and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, and closing the show with “Zombie” by The Cranberries.
This was such a great experience not only for our students, but also for their parents and all our guests.
