Another exciting week is behind us! Allison Academy continues to encourage and motivate students through various activities and experiments.
Physical education: moving as one, with teamwork and determination
Developing leadership and teamwork skills are critical for the success of our students. Students in physical education benefitted from a lesson in collaboration and teamwork as they took on the challenge to move as one. The students showed real teamwork and determination when they walked from point ‘a’ to point ‘b’ with balloons in between them without touching or adjusting their balloons to keep them from dropping. The students showed real teamwork, and along the way they had a lot of fun and laughter!
Celebrating love, friendship and appreciation with special Valentine's Grams
The student government members continue to be big motivators and cultivators of a positive school culture with their themed activities and student engagement. Valentine’s grams in celebration of friendship and appreciation will be delivered to students during this month of February. Many at Allison Academy will be delighted and surprised to receive a special Valentine’s chocolate, colorful roses or a letter!
Middle school science students take learning to the next level
Middle school science students took learning beyond the classroom as they learned about plants and vegetables in our everyday diets. Also, the students experimented with various forms of planting seeds to optimize propagation, growth, and longevity of the plants.
Juniors and seniors learn about different career paths
Our juniors and seniors also had the opportunity to meet with a representative from a local trade and technology school specializing in various mechanical engineering programs, including Automotive & Diesel technology programs, Marine, Welding and Aviation technology. Learning about different career opportunities and fields supports and encourages our students to continue their path to higher education!
