The beginning of the school year at Allison Academy was a truly different and special experience, given that the students enjoyed physically challenging, intellectually inspiring, and interesting activities at the beginning of the school year. Field day – A day of fun and games
Field day was held at Allison Academy on Friday, September 3, and we had a blast. The students played football, the old-fashioned game of kickball, and interacted with the teachers and Administration. The students who never played kickball were encouraged to join in and enjoyed the game with their friends.
Students enjoyed the interaction with teachers and peers, it was a successful day for the students and the staff. If our students can perform their school tasks with the prowess they showed on the football field – straight A’s are guaranteed!
Science Museum – An encounter with our galaxy and marine life
Allison Academy’s first field trip to the Frost Science Museum, which took place on Thursday, September 9, was an absolute success. The students had the opportunity to experience the Frost Planetarium, one of the most advanced spaces like it in the U.S., taking them on a visual joyride through our galaxy.
The Frost Science Museum inspired our students to learn more science, be curious, explore, and think scientifically. The students also interacted with the many interactive exhibits, touched sea life, and enjoyed a beautiful day outdoors getting to know each other better and socializing outside of the classroom. Most students’ favorite area and highlight of the day was the stunning, three-level aquarium that contains multiple ecosystems, habitats, and animal interaction in sub-aquatic depths.
Classroom Without Walls – innovative classes at Allison Academy
