The holiday season has come to an end and new challenges await our students in the second half of the school year! Luckily, our students are brave, hard-working, ambitious, and enthusiastic, and readily expect new study duties and creative tasks from their beloved teachers!
The holiday is drawing to a close and the goals seem much more attainable. Students celebrated the end of midterm exams and are ready to begin the second semester of classes.
Having in mind that this was definitely the best school year so far, we are extremely proud of all our students’ accomplishments, their drive to meet new challenges and reach new goals. This past week, the success of our students in art was the main trending topic in our school!

Allison Academy fosters talented poets!
As the famous quote from a movie we all probably adore goes:

We received the amazing news that poetry submissions from our middle school students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade were chosen to be published. A total of 22 students received this prestigious recognition for their work!
Allison Academy is proud to have such talented students who have a thing for beautiful words and rhythm because poetry can be really breathtaking and make us enjoy the beauty in life!
Great success at the MLK Art contest
Creativity is just one of the many valuable skills and attributes that we are very happy to see our students possess. And the wave of inspiration hit them hard this week because another great success took place in Allison Academy!
One of our senior students, Daniel S., was recognized in the City of North Miami Beach’s MLK Art Contest. Of all the submissions, Daniel’s work was selected as the best visual representation of the 2022 commemorative theme “Free to be…” which celebrates the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. His work will be displayed at City Hall and at MLK Park.
A very professional mock trial
Allison Academy organizes mock trials mainly because they teach valuable and useful skills to students. Another reason to do them in our law classes is simply that they’re fun!
Our law students also witnessed the importance of participating in a trial as a mock trial took place in Ms. Carolyn’s class. Prosecution and defense presented and argued their cases to the jury members who had the tough job of making a unanimous decision of declaring the defendant guilty or not guilty. The students had loads of fun, dressing for their parts and acting as tough lawyers.
